Who are we?
The PTFA is a group of parents whose aims are simple:
- To raise money to purchase extra resources to enhance the children’s learning
- To create enjoyable, inclusive events for the children, their families and the wider community
- To have fun whilst doing it!
How do we help the school?
Over the years, PTFA fundraising has enabled the school to purchase a number of items, including: climbing frames, outdoor play equipment, Library furniture, a minibus – even a zipwire… The staff and children are currently deciding on the next items to save for – please share any ideas you may have! The PTFA also subsidises the annual pantomime trip, ensuring that costs are kept low for parents.

Codicote School PTFA holds regular meetings and all parents and carers are welcome to attend. We are always delighted to have new people on board and hearing new ideas. Why not come along? Please don’t be afraid – you won’t be forced to do anything and you can get involved as little or as much as you want.
How else can I help?
If you don’t want to get involved as a member or volunteer, there are still plenty of ways you can help.
The first is to attend our events!
Secondly, we are always looking for donations of certain items to help us to keep our costs down and maximise the profits we make from each event – whilst keeping entry costs low. Items we are always grateful for include:
- Individually wrapped sweets & chocolate bars
- Any soft drinks i.e. cans, fruit juice
- Squash, Tea, coffee, sugar
- Crisps
- Disposable cups for hot & cold drinks
- Wine, beer, spirits, mixers
- Napkins, plastic cutlery, paper plates
- Wrapping paper, either Christmas or neutral
- Any low cost toys or stationery that can be used for prizes
- Raffle prizes
- Sharing any discounts people may receive at supermarkets as we often have to buy food in for events
All items must be in new condition and well within date.

Easyfundraising
Easyfundraising is an entirely free service that allows people to shop directly at their favourite online store via the links on the easyfundraising.org.uk website and raise a donation for their school cause once a purchase is made. Donations can be up to 15% of the value of your purchase, depending on the retailer and the item purchased.
All major retailers are included – John Lewis, M&S, Ebay, Sports Direct, Amazon and many more…. You shop as usual, getting the normal prices and the normal discounts, but the school obtains a small donation for each purchase from the retailer.
Easyfundraising have also released an new APP for apple phones and tablets to make it even easier to raise funds while you shop on line. Look out for the posters to be posted on the classroom doors, or go to your easyfundraising page and get the app for yourself.
Thank you for supporting the PTFA!
